Raw materials in Africa are highly contaminated with ropes, plastics, sand and dirt. Large textile pieces cannot be fed directly into opening machines. Basic shredders deliver strong impact and severely break fibres, resulting in inconsistent recycled fibre quality. Besides, spare parts and on-site technical support are hard to obtain locally. The client required robust machinery that can run continuously in dusty conditions with reliable after-sales support.
The full recycling line integrates MT series rotary cutting pre-processing + multi-stage opening + double impurity cleaning + metal detection. The MT rotary cutting machine first cuts bulky used clothes, thick fabrics and jumbo bags into uniform pieces to reduce load on downstream machines. Progressive gentle opening minimizes fibre breakage. Built-in metal detector removes zippers, buttons and metal fragments. The dust removal system is optimized for high-dust working environment in Africa.
Ethiopia actively promotes circular economy and solid waste recycling. This project is a key local waste valorization initiative.
